The telecommunications embargo period is nearly upon us. Each year during the Christmas and New Year period, telecommunications carriers hold off on processing new orders, focusing instead on clearing the backlog of orders from the current year.

The annual telecommunications embargo this year is from 20th December 2021 until 10th January 2021. Any orders for internet connections, fixed line number ports, or network configuration requests will not be actioned during this time.

How will this affect you?

Planning ahead is key to ensuring minimal impact on your business. Is your business looking to move fixed line services, relocate offices, or deploy new infrastructure during December and January? You need to ensure that your order is in as soon as possible.

Remember that there aren’t any guarantees that your order will be provisioned before the embargo. But getting your order in sooner rather than later will put you at the start of the queue when the embargo period ends early next year.

Get in touch with onPlatinum to get ahead of the queue.
