onPlatinum ICT is pleased to announce that its inaugural Charity Golf Day held at the Club @ Parkwood Village on Friday 11th June has raised over $13,000 in support of RACQ LifeFlight Rescue.

As one of Australia’s leading Managed Service Providers based on the Gold Coast, onPlatinum was proud with not only the money raised from the day, but more importantly that the day raised greater public awareness for an organisation that plays such a pivotal role within our community.

“There are so many families within our community that have been touched by the services this wonderful organisation provides,” said Shannon Overs, CEO onPlatinum ICT.

“We have always been committed to giving back to our local community, and this year has been no different through our Charity Golf Day.  We are very appreciative that we have been able to raise as much as we did for RACQ LifeFlight Rescue as I know it will go to great use with continuing to deliver such a critical service throughout our community.”

With RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters, air ambulance jets and critical care doctors delivering emergency, lifesaving medical care to seriously ill and injured people, throughout Queensland, the essential service continues to rely not only on Government support, but also relies heavily on fundraising throughout the year.

“RACQ LifeFlight Rescue is a community-based operation. The simple fact is we need funding support from the community to continue to save lives across Queensland,” said Foundation Director Steve Francia.

“The onPlatinum Golf Day has been a terrific event as obtaining support from local individuals and businesses is crucial in maintaining our service levels. We can’t say thank you enough.”

The winners of the day were the Team from the Mermaid Beach Electoral Office, including long standing state MP, Ray Stephens. The team finished on a nett score of 51.625, holding off the Queensland Independent Costing Service by a mere 0.125 of a shot.

The inaugural onPlatinum Charity Golf Day raised a total of $13,209.64, which would not have been possible without the support of all the sponsors and players that took part in the day. This will now become a regular event on the Gold Coast’s Corporate Golfing calendar.
